Rutgers University Meningococcal Disease Information
The New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), local health officials, and Rutgers Student Health are investigating two cases of meningococcal disease associated with Rutgers University-New Brunswick. Meningococcal disease is an infection caused by the organism Neisseria meningitdis.

Head Lice Prevention and Control
National Association of School Nurses Provides “Don’t Be Bugged by Head Lice” Information – News media have recently reported the rise of treatment-resistant head lice. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention provides evidence-based resources for many health issues, including head lice. In addition, the National Association of School Nurses (NASN) has partnered with the pharmaceutical company, Sanofi Pasteur on the educational initiative Headfirst Lice Lessons to help school nurses and parents deal with head lice.
